investing

Recently, I’ve been thinking about investing. Not the financial kind, but where I invest my time and love. I do like the Mumford line "where you invest your love, you invest your life."Only then I wondered – cos if it feels like investing, is it actually love? Isn’t love supposed to be something we do where we don’t expect anything back in return? A “giving without counting the cost”. So if I am loving someone, it should have no bearing if they respond or not. Blimey that’s hard. Are we just really used to expecting a return on our investment? Proof, that our love/time made a difference? Or is it just quite tricky to be that selfless, and unconditional in our loving? Back to the practising...
